Intelligent beginning in pregnancy

Who doesn’t want having a smart child, I think nobody want their child have less intelligence. Because of that many parents who have under three years old child attempt to maximize their child intelligent by giving good nutrition that period known as golden period for children intelligent.

But the fact is, they should attempt since from pregnancy not after the baby born. Golden period not only happen when child age is 1 – 2 years old but also in 280 days pregnancy. The baby personality and intelligent can be prepared since their mother pregnancy. Within pregnancy in 280 days, fetus prepared to become a human. As an example, a baby doesn’t want to accept milk from his own mother but accept from another mother. After researched found that his own mother doesn’t want the baby born, it means that the baby can feel the hates of his mother although he not born yet.

Since now, many opinion said that educating the baby in their first five years influenced in their personality and life until 50 years later. Research in 2006 by Tom Bouchard broke that opinion. It said that twin of monozigot who separated since they was born and reunite again when they 20 – 50 years old showed alike in their personality, intelligence, and characteristic. Even more about their desire in looking for their couple is alike too. It means that the education pattern doesn’t change their personality.

And then Bouchard have conclusion that genetic factor have major rule than education pattern. But dr Hermanto T.J. SpOG(K) of dr Soetomo hospital said that genetic rule is about 30% and 70% ruled by environment factor while pregnancy.

Nutrition and stimulating environment during pregnancy is very important to create the fetus personality and characteristic. If the parents not enrich the environment during pregnancy, the baby personality will dominant influenced by genetic factor.

David Barker (1989) study about fetal origin hypothesis, observe an England man who has a degeneracy disease like diabetes, hypertension, and heart since age 30 years old. At first he said it caused by junk food, but then that caused becoming doubtful. Because the same phenomena happen in development country which that time junk food didn’t come yet. After researched there is found an insult on pregnancy critical period. It believed can make the fetus do adaptation mechanism on his cell level, cause the baby born with delayed growth, and more risk to get degenerate disease.

It concluded that the environment can influence the fetus during pregnancy is more affect than the genetic factor. The most important thing is the parent must aware to give their upcoming baby a good nutrition and avoiding anything that can cause stress for parents because it can influence the baby personality after born.
